Water Pressure Problems, 2002 Mercury EFI 200
I have a 02 Basscat Pantera Classic with a 2002- 200 hp Mercury Efi on the back. I have been having problems with my water pressure . When I go up on plane for a few minutes with some speed my water pressure is low and the alarm goes off, and I have to stop . I changed the water pump and impeller today, and took her out for a test run. For the first few minutes everything was great, pressure was where it was supposed to be and moving on the water. After a few minutes pressure dropped and alarms go off again and boat seems to overheat. Please please, any thoughts or ideas to correct this problem. Please do not tell me a cracked head or something like that... HELP....

thanks for the reply Jay. I will measure, and at the same time I will drop the jack plate about half a inch to see if this makes a difference

When trouble shooting only change one item at a time, helps to figure out what was happening and not add another item to the problem.

Scott at 3 1/2" below pad on your Ranger you should be carrying 17 - 20 psi. When did you change your pump?

Not sure what I have yet as I only have run it once and it was up there for sure. I had almost 8 to 10lbs at idle
