Re: Lacygne Report (HAWKFAN)
I went up past that second bridge a couple of years ago in the spring. Didn't do any good. I think the water was too cool that far up.
With the water high you can go quite a ways past the second bridge. Once you get to that left hand turn that goes up towards the second bridge you either have to poo or get off the pot because it gets shallow before it drops back down again. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
Re: Lacygne Report (Champer196)
Don't tell me you run the whole way up there?????? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif I am almost embarrased to say, but I don't run on plane past the left hand turn at the hot water outlet. I know.....I am a big wuss, but I keep seeing random stick ups everywhere. Lets just say I idled alot more than I fished today.
The water temp at the left hand corner down from the hot water outlet was 92 degrees....Past the second bridge was 85. It is a really cool area to fish, if you like to flip. I just wish I could have put more fish in the boat.
Maybe next time http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Re: Lacygne Report (HAWKFAN)
Once you get to about to the hot water outlets you need to stay on the left hand side. Take that right hand turn around that point and stay a little wide. And there is some winding back and forth to stay in the deeper water. I'm sure after the high water things have changed some. Probably stick ups where there used to be none.
I can run all the way up. I shut it down at that shallow spot I was talking about and idle across it then hop back up on plane for a short while sometimes.
I get a kick out some guys who will run the snot out of there boat and don't care what they break just for a chance to win a couple hundred dollars. Even fishing a heartland pro am or something like that. You lose a lower unit and even if you win first place it's ALL gonna go to repairs. Foolish people. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif
Better to idle and be safe then to be a fool and run water your not sure about. I idle alot in unfamiliar water.
Re: Lacygne Report (Champer196)
Never fished La Cyne, but would like to go.....if you guys have an open back seat let me know!
Re: Lacygne Report (DEdwards)
we'll have to schedule a trip there this winter. Dec/Jan http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I don't know alot about and by no means am a expert on that lake but I have a few places and can show you how to get up the river which can be real good in November and again in the spring.
Re: Lacygne Report (DEdwards)
More than happy to hook up and go there when it cools off a little. Maybe we can all meet up there sometime in the fall. You are welcome to fish with me. Fished that lake for as long as I can remember. Really some good fish to be caught. Maybe when can do a little buddy tourney. Would love to put some faces to some names.

That sounds like a great idea. Maybe a mid winter mini BBC rally or something.

I might have to make the drive up there if you all hold a mini rally. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: Lacygne Report (KCBass)
You could also go quite aways up the other channel if you don't take the left hand turn to the second bridge but just stay north bound. Never really caught much, but sure is a lot to throw at.
