At our meeting last night during new business, I presented the club with an idea of taking some of the money we donate annually, which is usually to Make-a-Wish, and setting up a scholarship fund for a worthy recipient of your fishing team, which we could leave up to you to determine who.

I think it garnered some interest and we tabled it to discuss in a later meeting when there isn't quite so much stuff to go over. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. If one of you had something you would like to write up that gave a good synopsis of what your team is about and explained how such a donation, albeit probably not a huge amount, could benefit one of your members, it may help. You might even consider having a representative attend one of our meetings and say a few words regarding this.

We had talked in the past about possibly doing some different things with the money we donate each year, so that is what gave me the idea. I might be all wet, but thought it was a good idea.
