No one answered my question....so I'll start a new thread.
I mentioned I was about out of Crown........Christmas weekend is upon us.
Should I get mroe Crown or should I go for something a little different this time...Knob Creek? Makers Mark?
I thought about getting some Elijah Craig but $$$$$ and hard to find.....only had it once though http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Maybe some Woodford Reserve? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif

Are you drinking it on the rocks or with pepsi? If you are mixing it I would stick with the crown. Not that it isn't suitable for on the rocks but I don't see a point in spending more than you have to for something you are going to add to pop.
That is also froma poor college student so take it for what it is worth http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Glenlivet on the rocks by a warm fire and a football game.

Very good question Chris http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif
I would presume that I will be mixing it to start(coke/sprite) but once I am on the "Run" it will just be a glass of Ice with some brown Juice in it.....anything can happen from there.....until I'm told to stop drinking cause I'm scaring the kids http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Still can't turn myself into a scotch drinker. Tried it a few times and it just doesn't do it for me.
For sipping on the rocks, Jameson's Irish Whisky is my choice. Mixing I gotta agree with Chris, no need to spend lots of money. Get a bottle of Weller's and a 2-liter of pepsi or some Seagrams and a little 7 and you're set. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Dad and I polished off some Crown during deer season that his Dad gave him when he graduated High School.
That was some good stuff.
We also found some white lightning that I took a wiff of and it about knocked me on my butt. Decided to stick to the crown. My cajones aren't that big quite yet.
Re: No one answered my question....so I'll start a new thread. (TimS)
Dont get me wrong......I still like some lower end liqours as well.....I just dont do it often enough to make ot worth while.......plus I'm not getting any younger so I'm just wanting to try differnt things as I go along.
if I was just getting anything and on a budget I'd be drinkin 7n7's or Kellsers or as mentioned....Seagrams. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Gentleman Jack is always a good standby. I really like the Jim Beam Black Label; itÂs a lot smoother than the original. Aged 7 years I believe. This could easily go the way of boat bashing, or rifle bashing, but who the hell cares if you bash my booze?

IMO Chivas is better but Livet is cheaper.

That's what my boss says, too, but I've always liked the single malt a little better than a blended. Either way, they are both good.

I know that if I drink 2 or 3 mixed drinks first what comes later could be anything, because i will not taste it anyway. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
