Changing powerpack on 2001 Johnson 175

I got my new powerpack in today and plan on changing it after work? Is there anything I need to know or watch for before I put it on? Models is J175PLSIF

I don't know anything about your particular motor, but if you've never replaced one I would recommend taking plenty of pictures each step of the way. I had never done it and it was basic plug and play for mine. But nice to go back to cellphone pix to be sure everything was where it belongs.

I plan on taking some pictures and labeling the wires before I take the old one off. I just hope it solves my issue. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif

make sure you put the ground wires back on the bolts, Put the lower coil packs on first, they get the Orange/green coil wires, middle coils get the orange wires and the top coils get the orange/blue wires. Should take you 1/2 hour. Check your plug wires for arcing. If you notice some faint arc spots route the wires away from the block.
