It was raining so I didn't get a picture, but there was a tow pulling a big barge of cylindrical containers stacked 50' high. I thought thats weird pulling the barge. Then when It got past me I saw there was one pushing also.
Not until it had passed did I figure out that the one in front had to be the eyes for the one inback. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Same tow came by my work last nite. I work on the Ohio by Rockport IN
seen the same thing,the 1st one was a spotter for the one in back.
Saw it when I was fishing the mouth of Blood River. It kind of looked like big diameter FRP pipe. Boy was that setup puttin along.
Do you think it has anything to do with the piers for the new bridge at Kenlake?
Someone told me there was a barge doing geotechnical borings the other day down there on the north west side of the existing bridge. Wondering if it might have been the same rig or not?
There was a barge tied up on the N. East side of the bridge there on Tuesday. I didn't pay any attention to what they were doing though.
