Should be a good ledge bite. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
65 votes?????????????????? Where did all of those come from?? Looks like I may miss this rally. I thought we always tried to keep it in May so you would have both shallow and deep bites. June counts out the shallow bite. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif

There is still a shallow bite in June, Probably a better bite than the bite was this May. Gary Yamamoto came in the top ten in the FLW tour event a few years ago in June fishing shallow. There will be bass raiding bluegill beds, protecting fry, late spawners and some that just stay shallow. I wouldn't not come down just because it's in June. Lots of limits still caught shallow all summer.
Also once you ever pull up on a drop that's stacked with fish where you are catching a good'un every cast, you'll start to hate throwing at the bank. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

The deep bite really is just trying to start in May. Mid may is such an iffy time with weather, last 2 years floods and such. Early June is much more stable and as Roddy said there will still be shallow fish. We've had 5 years now of May fishing, lets try something else. Also, if the fish really start to move to leges, then 16 lbs won't touch it.
Evidentally the 65 are from both the guys in the front of the boat and those in the back and also some that havent' come because of when it has been in the past.

I'm versatile, just still teaching the wife and flipping baits shallow is easier for her right now. She doesn't know how to look at water and electronics and get a mental picture of what is on the bottom and where exactly to cast. I may still be there, will just have to wait and see. If it were up to me I would be there the last week of April/first week of May. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

I just point my wife where to cast with a C-rig or a 3/4 oz jig and she does the rest. You pull up on the right drop and you'll spoil her.
I like June, there will still be plenty of fish shallow. this gives the real taste of KY Lake
