Wednesday - August 18th - COX PARK - 6:00 to 9:30 - $20 winner take all
6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
$20 per boat, winner take all; ties determined by largest bass
Cox Park - meet in parking lot around 5:30 - 5:45, takeoff at 6:00
1 lb. deduction for each dead fish
5 fish limit per boat - 12" on all bass
Previous winner shall hold onto the entry fees during the tournament - holding the money is a proven curse! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Disqualification for any short fish brought in to be weighed - so make sure it measures at least 12"!
Stay out of Captain's Quarters marina - fish the mouth all you want, but don't go past the sign...it's off limits.
A casual event, open to anyone. Very informal, and fun. It's not sanctioned, no memberships, or anything like that. It's officially non-official. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
If you plan on fishing it, please post below so we know to look for you.
If you wish to launch at Duffy's, that's okay too, just come on over to Cox before 6:00 to put your money in the pot.

I think technically, your partner should be holding the money, since he caught all the fish last time, right? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Dad won't be able to make it this time. I wish he would have caught one of our keepers, he was a little dissappointed he didn't catch one to weigh in but he had a good time regardless.

It's getting to be pretty dang dark at 9:30 - should we maybe bump our ending time to say maybe 9:15 ? Or should we just leave it at 9:30 since it's already posted as such and make note for the next one?
Re: Wednesday - August 18th - COX PARK - 6:00 to 9: ... (artcarney_agr)
I'd say we make it 9:00. I have seen too many large logs just at the surface to be running in the dark. We can make it clear at take off.

Skeeter Joe squeaked out a win over Snow.
Joe had 1 LM at 3 lb 2 oz, Snow had 2 spots at 3 lb even.
The money curse continues! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Re: Wednesday - August 18th - COX PARK - 6:00 to 9: ... (artcarney_agr)
YES, no kidding. She is a wonderful person but... I kind of "robbed d grave". We first dated when she was 14 and I was 16. Her dad didn't like the ideal of his daughter running around with me, go figure http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif . Now having a daughter I don't blame him at all. She's not allowed to have a boy friend till she's like 40 http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif . We got back together when she was 16 and we've been together ever since. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Trace Adkins, said it best...
(This is for all you sophisticated ladies out there)
She grew up in the city in a little subdivision,
Her daddy wore a tie, Momma never fried a chicken,
Ballet, Straight AÂs, Most likely to succeed
They bought her a car after graduation
Sent her down south for some higher education
Put her on the fast track to a law degree
Now sheÂs comin home to visit
holdin the hand
Of a wild-eyed boy
with a farmerÂs tan
And shes ridin in the middle of his pickup truck
Blarin Charlie Daniels yellin, ÂTurn it up!Â
They raised her up a lady
but thereÂs one thing they couldnÂt avoid
Ladies love country boys
(You know its true)
Yeah, you know mommaÂs and daddyÂs want better for their daughters
Hope theyÂll settle down with a doctor or a lawyer
In their uptown, ball gown, hand-me-down royalty
They never understand
why their princess falls
For some camouflage britches
and a southern boy drawl
Or why sheÂs ridin in the middle of a pickup truck
Blarin Hank Jr. yellin, ÂTurn it up!Â
They raised her up a lady
but thereÂs one thing they couldnÂt avoid
Ladies love country boys
(oooh, get country with it)
You can train Âem
You can try to teach Âem right from wrong
But itÂs still gonna turn Âem on
When they go ridin in the middle of a pickup truck
Blarin Lynyrd Skynyrd yellin, ÂTurn it up!Â
You can raise her up a lady
but thereÂs one thing you jus canÂt avoid
Ladies love country boys
They love us country boys
Ooooooh yeah
It's that country thing you know
