Thinking about making a trip out to Patoka in the next few weeks and was wondering what the bite has been like? Any input would be greatly appreciated. well for those in the know its been hot as a firecracker. Some people are really struggling though this year cause the grass is very sparse compared to previous years. Day tournaments are taking at least 18lbs. or so to win, and your not wining a night tournament up here with an ounce less than 20lbs. I dont care how many boats you have in it. We won last saturday with a 5 fish limit that went 23 1/2 lbs.
Now keep in mind that we fish there 3 times a week too... But overall patoka is awesome for the size of it...

Thanks for the insight, it sounds like it may take some time to put together a solid pattern for the pigs..... That sucks to hear about the grass being so sparse. Any reasons or theory's why? or just a natural cycle. All and all sounds like the lake is still a quality fishery.
