What a Putz, sticking it to his creditors ROYALLY.
I just read that whole article and all I can say is that the pro fishing industry and boat manufacturing business have made one giant jumbled mess. The whole situation is confusing as hell.

The article and Irwin's plays are all made to confuse. Real simple, he's filing bankruptcy, selling the company, buying the profitable entities and coming out smelling like a rose.

I've never understood how a company can be run into the ground, go bankrupt, restructure and then pay off the same people who ran it in the ground in the first place. Pretty goofy is you ask me.
One more thing... I'm a novice when it comes to knowledge of the boat and motor companies, but what was the deal with Yamaha and Evinrude in that article?

Maybe I missed something here but the way I took it he stepped down from one company..but still a major share holder.. then filed against that company from another company he is the owner of. That sounds like he setup one company before leaving it and I would consider that fraud...but then agian I still believe in being ethical and doing the right thing.

I don't exactly consider bailing on your debt EVER honest.
Me either Kyle have no use for a deadboat!!!
He wants motors based on a contract with Evinrude for sponsorship, yet he isn't going to pay them 1/2 a million for products bought from them and then sold on boats for a profit. Put him in jail with the guy who stole millions in the stock trading scheme they are both thieves. IMHO http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif
