Fun Weekend on Dale

Had another good time at Dale Hollow this weekend. Met up with some friends from Nashville for the weekend. We didn't take fishing too serious but still caught some good smallmouth and a few walleye after dark. We caught 5 or 6 smallmouth on Sat but only fished half the day. Spent the other half doing 12oz curls! Sunday we had 14 or 15 from 10pm to 5pm and today we had 4 from 10 to 1.

The day time bite is still on if that is what you want but lots of people are catching em at night. All our fish came on a smoke grub and jig. Most fish were on flats around grass and a few on points. Water is back down to summer pool now. Most of the fish are recovered from the spawn now and are putting the weight back on!!! Man they are pulling HARD right now too and jumping 3' out of the water like torpedos!!!!!!

Look at the growth on this spot!!?? Not sure what was up with that. It was kinda cool though how he caught it. We were fishing shallow running stick baits for the walleyes and he hooked a shad...just for shits and giggles he threw it out with the shad on it and with in 5 seconds he got slammed by this guy.

Oh Man! We're headed down to Dale Thursday 5/28 about 20 of my closest friends! I hope we can get into em! We are going to bluegill fish during the day and hit the smallies at night! Sounds like the smallies are on my pattern!

Hey Wolf....You can catch bluegill just about anywhere you go. Kemper flats had lots of BIG shellcracker on it in 8-10' and all the little pockets around trees were loaded. Good luck.

That growth looks just like the one on that smallie I caught last winter.
