Bought 1990 Champion 184 DCR with GT175 on it . It mounted on a 6" Rapid Jack, but I havent been able to get information on the stainless 4 blade prop. The only information I have found etched on the prop is Custom Prop by Spinelli Brog II Rochester NY 4191. Do I need to pull the prop to find the size and pitch? I also googled Spinelli and cant find any contact information. Need help!
I don't think the spinelli brothers are in business anymore... but could be wrong... they were widely known for go fast boats and props... need to look inside the prop where the prop nut is and it should have some numbers there...
Put a 24 P GOOD Raker on in and you will be happy. Set the hull/GC @ 3.250 or 3.50 with WP at 18 PSI WOT and your will have the ride of you life!
Took prop off and its 23P also had a 13 stamped on the hub. I guess its saying its 13" diameter, but I measured across and it measures 14". I have had a couple of people recommend a 24 raker and the jack settings. I will need a spare prop anyway so I'm in the market for a 24 raker and I will see what works best for me.
As I now know that my Spinelli 4 blade prop is 23 pitch should I be looking for a 24 pitch 3 or 4 blade prop ? Also on the hull/GC setting is that the jack plate adjustment for the prop to the pad and if so is it prop above or below the pad?
24 Raker would be the hookup, also a 23 Renegade 4 blade. Yes that is the correct measurement ~3.5" below the pad. Use the process that is stickied in the Champion forum for measuring the prop to pad distance.
Would you have any knowledge on the Spinelli 23P 4 blade PROP ?
