Good Kentucky Lake info!!!
Hey guys, it looks like I'm coming to KY Lake the 1st or 2nd week of Oct. (1st time ever). I'm trying to find out some good information (general to specific) on what's going on then. Patterns, baits, etc... Have there been any good articles or books on Kentucky Lake bass fishing you'd recommend?
Any sections of the lake that are better than others for early fall?
Doesn't winter drawdown normally start right around then. How does that affect the fish?
Table Rock is my home lake and I've spent a lot of time on about all other Ozark's Lakes. (LOZ, Bull Shoals, Truman, Stockton, etc...) I'd be willing to share good info if interested.
Shoot me a PM if you'd like.
Thanks in advance.

Here's weekly reports for the last couple years. Ky lake is my home lake , but by then I'm usually deer hunting. Love Table Rock. I used to go there with my uncle way back in the 70's. I've been a few times since.

Around the second week of October we make a trip every year. The water is down then and the shad really start schooling in the creeks and bays. Although that wasn't the case this past year, it usually happens around that time. This past year it was still like summer in early October though. The largemouth and smallmouth follow the shad back. If you catch it at the right time it can be a feeding frenzy with lots of blowups. In the morning and evenings the topwater bite is your best bet. Walking baits always seem work. I would check the Daves report about a week before you go because it's always spot on.
