I have an evinrude intruder 150 on a javelin 379t and it will only let me trim the motor so high. I feel that I can trim the motor more and get better speed and performance. Where is the trim limiter located on the motor? And how do I bypass it? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif
It will only let you trim so high in gear, up until the tilt rams take over. There is no trim limiter and you can not bypass it. If you looking for more bowlift you probably need cup added to your prop. What is your setup now.

I don't know the pad setting but I have a 3 blade 24 pitch raker and it'll do 59 gps 5100-5300 wot I just feel that there is some performance missing somewhere.I checked some of the other forumss on these boats and some will do 63-68 mph what is lacking in mine?
If your having to trim it way up to get it to run, your prop needs to be worked on.... :)
It's not trimming high enough is what I'm trying to say. My other boats would trim out much better than this one it reaches a certain spot and won't trim any higher that all
Do you have any rooster tail at all? Seems to me you should be turning more RPM's with that Raker, I can turn it to 5700-5800. Check your Prop to pad distance.
The trim limit switch is on the tilt tube..

You need to measure your prop to pad distance, and give us the RPM's you are running and the water pressure.

A Jav 379T usually runs best between 3.5 and 3.25" below the pad depending on load. If you have BPS in the boat and you all are big fellas that like the breakfast buffet then...your results will vary. Normal set up with two 225 pound dudes and a reasonable amount of tackle with a properly set up 379/150 will be in the low 60 range. Empty live wells of course.
Most of the time I fish by myself and yep I'm 215 so yea I'm a big fella also I carry a descent amount of tackle but don't go overboard. What kind of water pressure should I look for wot
