Second and future runs of day need choked to take off first run of day fine
OK Here's the deal this motor is giving me right now,all sugestions are welcome, pro opinons highly wanted.
1999 J225HPLEEN
Back boat in water starts fine
back boat out, tie off to dock, shutdown ,sometimes let it run while I park the truck, either way same result.
Back out takes off like a bat outa hell.
Go fish a couple hours maybe 3 fire it up to move,
Have Pumped up the bulb firm before takeoff
Start to take off and would bog down like either choking out or not getting gas.
So today when it started to bog down I pushed key in to choke it and no bog down took off like a bat outa hell,
Sugestions , OR CURE??? fuel vaporising , from heat of first run of day????
I'll wait till up in November, when we fish a couple different lakes for smallies and see what happens.

About $3000 and several months in the shop... still have the same problem, too.
Re: Second and future runs of day need choked to take ... (86 inches)
just my opinion, but sounds like the issue is heat related... do you have a manual for your motor?? if so the majority of the tests require the motor to be to operating temp , before getting the meter out for testing.....but the tests are pretty easy, just need an ohmeter and water muffs...... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

I have the motor maunal, what tests it's prob vabor lock due to heat ,I'll see this late fall and winter fishing ,
What tests hell I'll try anything till then, other than tearing it all apart right now.
