Re: hot foot set up (toddgot5fish)
There is a throttle stop (screw) on the linkage at the motor where the cable attaches, it will be close to the cable at the bottom of the linkage, see if that stop is touching the block when the foot throttle is at wide open, motor off of course.
Re: hot foot set up (RUSTY63)
throttle stop is touching , i took the ccable off at the motor to operate it from back there. if i loosen the throttle stop it does let the carb flys open more.......
Re: hot foot set up (toddgot5fish)

Re: hot foot set up (RUSTY63)

Re: hot foot set up (toddgot5fish)
Just making sure, send me an IM with a fax number and I will fax you the sync and link procedures tomorrow.
Re: hot foot set up (RUSTY63)
have a manual , and trying to follow sync and link procedures, going in the order it lists , the throttle plates are lined up perfectly on both sides.when i adjusted the low idle stop , this kinda got the carb throttle cam off of alignment, so i loosened the carb throttle cam and re-adjusted to line back up with the hatch mark , it wasn't off more than a 1/16". sound o.k.
please don't tell me i coming to nashville , BTW cranked up on muffs and idles a 1k

Read the instructions and follow them to the letter, do not go back and check anything, start at step 1 and go to the end of the steps.

Anything wrong with your old hot foot? You want to sell it? Give me a price. You can bring it to me in Nashville when you come if you can't figure all that out. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: hot foot set up (fiddlefarter)
loaded up and headed to guntersvlle, had a new tempest 25+ , and had it on as well. motor ran very strong , more than usual , i think that 3/16" on the carbs that weren't opening up must have made a big difference. rpms only made it to 5700-5800 unless i raised the plate a little more , then could get 6k but not much more on top 65-67. while the tempest is by far best for ease of use , the raker 26 got me to 68 , but had trouble ( FUN ) staying up on the final pad at lower speeds.
thanks Rusty for the help , hot foot is for sale , 50 plus shipping ...
