Heading south...

Well after a tough winter, job woes, family medical issue's and a opossum bite, my wife decided we need to go somewhere. So we fly to Florida next Friday for a few days. We will have my Mom and Dad pick us up at the airport in Orlando and in less than 2 hours, I can be on the water and fishing Central Florida!!! Momma is just going to chill and lay around in the sun to relax and I will spend the days fishing with Dad trying for a 10lb'er...Not a bad deal, since we stay at the parents and don't need a rental car or hotel or food, etc....We will probably not spend over 100.00 the whole time we are there... Just mainly gonna be the cost for flight and a fishing license for me...

Which lakes are you going to fish? I'm pulling my boat down there Thursday after work and will be on Lake Marion on Friday and Toho Sat & Sun. Then going to Ft. Lauderdale area for a few days with the wife and then will fish one day on the way back with the boat. Let me know.

We will fish a few smaller lakes around the Sebring area, which is where Dad lives, then maybe one day on Istapoka...

There is nothing better than heading south for a little fishin fun during these cold boring winter months. Okeechobee and Guntersville are my favorite picks this time of year. I think I am going to head to G-ville in the next couple of weeks . The big sows are starting to head for the shallows and thats alot of fun. Hope you have a great trip....... Jarrod
