I use the White Night back-up lights and I'm very pleased with them. They were reasonably easy to install and work very well.

Just ordered mine got EM AT JC WHITNEY cheaper just follow the retailer links on the link above go to jc whitney one of there retailers got the lights for 77.50 and the 7 pin wireing harness for 15.39 and got free shipping total of 92.89 not bad.
Just whatch jc whitney for their free shipping of 10 or 15 percent off and you can say a few bucks for gas also.

I put some brackets on my trailer from Northern Hydraulics that accepts the submerrisible lites that use the rubber gussets/gasket and installed clear backup lites in them they work great. The brackets bolt on so the placements is up to you.
I think I'm going to change places with the factory brake/tail lite so it is up higher for greater visibility both lites are the same size.
E-trailer has the about the same brackets for less than $4.00.

Northern Tool has some sealed LED tractor lights for 35.00 each. That's what I got. Love em.
Geez Louise...those are expensive. Save a few bucks and buy a couple fog lights and mount them under the bumper of your truck and wire them to your back-up lights. You can do that for a small percent of the cost of those fancy lights.
I bought some fog lights to mount on the back of the bumper. I saw your suggestion on splicing into the reverse lights. Im not very handy when it comes to electical stuff. If you can explain or give any hlpful tips I would be very grateful. Thanks.
g3man: I did not install these lights myself, but had the done at the dealer. But, if you have trailer brakes, you could tap into the the wire from the back-up lights that deactivate your trailer brakes when you put the truck into reverse.
If your trailer/boat is like mine, the lights on the truck bumper won't do much, cuz the rig is too wide.
I ended up putting some LEDs on the trailer, and they are almost too bright (same as a 55w headlight).
I'm gonna wire in a kill switch so I can tunr them off even when in reverse so I dont blind the guy next to me when backing down the ramp.
What I have is a 2006 tundra with a 7 pin plug. My boat only has a 4 pin jack. I use a adapter to put them together. I wasn't sure if I could splice into my trucks plug, or just splice into my reverse light wires. Alot of the ramps I use have no lights for the ramp, not even street lights. We aren't as fancy as you Newport News guy's ramps. LOL. Just joking. lived in Newport News for about 30 years. Denbigh boy.
My 20 foot Ranger is pretty wide, too. But, I angle the lights under my rear bumper outward about 35 degrees. This way, they light up the ramp just fine...especially the curbs on the edge of the ramp that I don't want to hit.Quote:

Well I tried to hook up the lights myself. What a mistake I made. I wired the lights to my reverse lights and everything worked good. Then I started driving home and the A/C shut off. A little while later the radio shut down, I looked at my volt gauge and it was bottomed out. pulled over to check things out, fuses and such, everything looked ok but she would not start back up. If I got jumped it would start up. Soon as the cables came of she would start to shut down. Got the truck trailered home and began the search. I pulled the altanator out and had it checked, works fine. Pulled the battery out and had it checked and everything was fine except it was drained. got it charged and put everything back together. Pulled all the wiring out that I did. Still would not start. jumped it and it started. soon as we pulled the jumpers off it started to shut down again.
Don't know what it could be, at a complete loss. HELP PLEASE. O yea its a Toyota Tundra.
