It's a bad ground, I promise you, the trailer lights aren't really blinking with your turn signals in unison. if you watch closely you'll notice they are blinking at the exact opposite time as your truck lights (ie your truck blinker flashes and trailer lights are not, trailer lights flash and truck blinker are not). Just like when you hit the brakes and trailer lights go out. I hope this isn't too confusing but its hard to explain in words http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
I've had the exact same problem two days ago after rewiring a trailer. I had to grind down to bare steel in order to get a good ground.

Ok thanx. So the most likely prob will b the ground at the tongue. Is every light ground independently? I know they all have ground wire, does it all go to ground point on the tongue? I'm dumb when it comes to this.
Re: Trailer lights prob. (lester547)
I'd most likely guess it's the grounds at the lights themselves since you just changed them. The individual grounds need to be attached to the trailer frame bare metal at each light. Sometimes the light has a pigtail, and sometimes it's done via the mounting bolts.
Re: Trailer lights prob. (CatFan)
K. When I connected the lights. I connect the ground to the existing ground wire leading to the tail lights. I figured that was where it went. There red, brown, white. And I matched them to the same from trailer.
Re: Trailer lights prob. (lester547)
if each light has a ground wire then use them. Most trailer light problems can be solved with your grounds. Make sure you have the trailer actually hooked to the truck as well.

If hooking to the truck makes any difference at all, you have a wiring problem.
