Getting ready to change out the bunk boards on my Nitro.. Currently the trailer is set-up from the factory.. My question is, as I unload/load the boat it seems like the boat sits about 1 inch to low on the trailer and causes the boat to smack the rubber V roller with my bow pretty hard. So, was wondering if I could add some length to the boards to help lift the boat up some and allow it to glide into the rubber V roller easier?

Does your trailer have height adjustment brackets under the boards or are they mounted solid to the trailer? I can't remember how Trailstar trailers are configured. If it has the adjustment brackets, you could raise them up a bit to help you. Another thing that might help is when you load the boat onto the trailer, trim your engine all the way down and once the boat is on the trailer, "goose" the throttle. This should lift the bow enough. When I 1st got my boat, I was having trouble getting it on the trailer and a guy at the launch gave me that tip and I've been doing it ever since and haven't had issues loading since then.
No adjustments on this trailer... hard fixed.. I have used the tip mentioned and it still bumps on the roller a little to low. Guess this will be the standard unless some major upgrades go into the trailer..

Assume you are talking about hitting the bow stop.. If so your trailer is too far in the water, pull it up a little to help.
Thanks Bryan, however, I hae tried all differant depths. Maybe it's just the way it is going to be.. Afraid to tinker to much when I change out the boards so I will just deal with it.. fortunately, it doesn't really harm anything... Just annoying! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif

actually try just the opposite, ease onto the trailer with the motor trimmed high, it lifts the bow better when trailering.
trimming down when loading will cost you prop repair. Trust me I know.
