How do those with aluminum trailers wax them?

I just bought a xpress that has a raw aluminum back track trailer.It is a 2008 combo so the trailer has oxidized some.I bought mothers aluminum mag polish in the little round tub and applied it with a wax pad,i then wiped it off,and off,and off,you get the picture.It may be because it was in the shade and below 60 degrees and the wax just wasn't drying.It has to be a easier way short of a detail shop with high speed buffers! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
