Hi, I accidently pulled the emergency brake cable on my boat trailer. The coupler is a UFP Model A-60. I need to know how to reset cable and anything else that is required. I forgot to unhook the emergency cable when I unhooked the trailer from my car and pulled off. I would greatly appreicate any help!
Look in the manuals at the sites posted by 21XDC, you can print them out also, you also may want to call Dennis at UFP, he can walk you thru it and get you a new cable if you need...800-835-9211 ext. 16..

I pulled my cable in two,completely out of the trailer tongue, now to thread a new one back over the pins and brackets inside the enclosed tongue.I've looked it over several times but so far I havn't attempted it. Since I tore it out with very little effort I question the value of it.How is it going to stop/actuate the trailer/brake after being ripped out of the tongue.

If you didn't have to reset the brakes after you pulled the cable out, then your brakes are not working. The wire is routed so it will pull on the master cylinder when it is pulled out thus setting the brakes on he trailer and the only way to reset the brakes is by pushing up on a metal tab under the A-60 actuator to release the brakes, if you did not have to do this after pulling yours out, then your brakes didn't work in the first place.
