Attwood Model 60 Actuator on 1997 EZ Loader trailer

The guy that sold me the boat and trailer had no manuals or instructions. I'm having problems getting my hitch on and off. Does anyone have a copy of operating instructions or ideas about how to re-furbish this?

I think the nut to loosen / tighten for better fit is up under the tounge.
