Triton TR196/ Explorer VS Stratos 294 XL
Which is the better boat? Looks like the Triton rod lockers are bigger, and it has the larger second storage hatch at the front of the boat. Looks like there is some wasted room in the Stratos.
Has anyone compared the handling of the 2 boats?
thanks,

If the TR196 is the former TR19 hull, you're gonna get beat to death on moderately rough water and it will require some driving input on your part, moreso than the 294. No doubt, the TR 196 is outfitted nicely. I've owned many boats, the TR19 bassmaster classic edition I owned looked the coolest but rode the worst. One of the reasons I think Triton has been coming out with new hulls over the past few years. The 294 may have an edge on speed. You can get the 200 ETEC HO on the 294. Only Merc on the Triton and there's no 200 ProXS.
Triton makes a nice boat, but the ride and handling go to Stratos.
