Power loss 03 200ho ficht wtf!!!!

I was doing a little cleanup and maitnence on the boat and remeasured my jackplate o noticed it was 4 inches below I reset it to 3 in . Took it too the lake with 2 of my friends to do a little fishing took off no problem noticed a rooster tail and it seemed like the prop was slipping a little bit any way figured I would just lower it at the end of the day my speed was 58 at 5400 with 3 people I thought that was a little slow. At the end of the day while my bud grabbed my truck me and my other friend made a couple rUns down the lake I hit 62 at 5700 then turned around and on the same distance I hit 58 slowed down punched it again and it seemed real sluggish and just struggled to get up past 40mph I then stopped came to an idle. Tried to punch it and it wouldn't even get in plane I threw it in neutral and reved it to see if maybe the hot foot throttle was restricted and not allowing full throttle seemed fine tried to gun it again same result fearing the worst shut it off and trilled back to the rAmp. Last weekend the boat was a consistent 66 mph and ran great with a tournament load and water in the well with the jp set at 4 in I am calling the marina tomorrow to see if they will look at it but just looking for ideas this sucks supposed to be taking a trip this weekend to Maine with it and the following weekend I have a t

Do I need to disable the fuel and if so how?? I never did a comp test do I take all the spark plug wires off so the motor dosnt start??

Take the plug wires off! The problem sounds like your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor ) may have gone out on you. The diagnostic software will need to be hooked up to confirm.

Had a tech come to my house put a diagnostic tester in it he said everything checked out ok and then noticed that the throttle cable had popped out of the bracket ? He reset it and re tightened the bolt and assured me that was the prob taking it to the lake tomorrow : http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif
