1995 175 intruder carbs not opening all the way
Took the boat out saturday to see if i had the fuel issue fixed and it seems i do but the motor will still only turn 5100 wot. When i got the boat back on the ramp i pulled the cover off and noticed that the carbs weren't opening all the way. On the top of the carb linkage rod there is a black roller, it looks like there used to be another sleeve on the outside of the black one. Is there suppose to be one on there and if so and its not could this be the problem? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif

Yes there is supposed to be a clear sleeve on that. In a pinch you can you a piece of the clear plastic tubing from a can of engine tuner with schrader valve connector or get a piece of tubing that fits, I'm thinking 1/4" or 3/8" ID

Good to know thanks http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif . Is that why i'm not getting the rpms i use to get?

Probably and usually symptoms of that piece missing are hesitation on hole shot because the timing is not getting advanced with the throttle correctly.

Just buy a new roller from your dealer, it's less than $10, and he should have one in stock.
