HELP>>>Fog inside my SCOPE
My front lense on my Bushnell(fog proof P.O.S.)...It was stored in the house all year long. Just showed up last week. Only shows its ugly face when it gets cold outside. Is there any way to get rid of it or just buy a new one. Someone please tell me that it will not have to be replaced in the middle of a 3wk BP season http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif

Sorry to confirm, Mike, but that scope is toast... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
It might retain its zero for a while, but I wouldn't trust it.

worth the money....</td></tr></table>
+1 I think a lot of Leupold users used to own another brand. I became a Leupold fan when a Simmons ruined a hunt for me
Re: HELP>>>Fog inside my SCOPE (mcherry)
I used to think Leupold was overpriced until I realized why

Yep you get what you pay for. But Nikon in my opinion is best bang for your buck, it is a high quality glass, draws a lot of light, never had a problem with fogging, lifetime warranty and tough as nails. I had a rope give away last year my custom 30-06 with Nikon Monarch fell 25' to the ground a sounded like a tuning fork when it hit the ground http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/sick.gif I came back down went back to camp figured the gun and/or the scope was toast, I shot it it was still dead on I swear by Nikon after that! I own a Leupold as well pretty much same confidence in it!
I would think bushnell would stand behind their product though if you feel comfortable with it.
Re: HELP>>>Fog inside my SCOPE (mcherry)
IF, and I do mean IF you know how your gun shot and what was the correct load for it is, it doesn't take that many rounds to get it tuned in. Buy the new scope and go put it on and get some hunting in. The fogged up scope will only ruin your chance at a deer. I had one do it once, luckly(if thats what you want to call it) I didn't see any deer that day.
Re: HELP>>>Fog inside my SCOPE (mcherry)
You might try something for temperary measures. Leave the gun outside in your vehicle overnight. Do not leave it in the house at night and then take it out into the cold air in the morning.
Re: HELP>>>Fog inside my SCOPE (mcherry)
My brother had the same problem with his Bushnell. He sent it off and the repaired for free or at least pretty close to that.. The part that sucks is that you'll have to send it off.
