WHAT THE HECK

I've been scouting with my spoting scope and moved in to take him this afternoon. He came out across the feild from where he has been the last 2 afternoons. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif Then he proceeds to walk downwind past the stand I was going to put my son in. Stops and makes a scrape, so I snort wheeze. He leaves the country at that. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif Nice deer to, 8 typical points on a 20-21" spread about 12" g2 and g3s. He sure acted like he was the boss. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif NOT!

Yup that stinks for sure, I had a nice one that just stayed out of range last night I call "TEN HIGH" got pics when he was in velvet was able to see him last night in all his glory. Maybe next time, it was close.

That is a nice one.

We just walked out of the woods. Lucas saw a good one way out of range and had a 17" wide, one and 1/2 year old 8 point right under him. He will make a bruiser, if he lives to 4 1/2. I only saw 2 young bucks and 3 does this morning.

The one area will be a late season hotspot. The field has about 1' of water standing in it and has for a while. There about 10 acres of corn left standing, that's going to be I prime food source about Dec.

My oldest son and I are heading to IL in a week. Hope they are rutting a little more than they are here by then.

Roddy last night seen about 20 deer, 8 buck, a small 4 pointer was chasing does, the one above was just following 2 does, his nose was not on the ground at all, seen the other bucks that were small they all had there noses to the ground. The smaller ones right now don't know any better, but I believe we are getting into pre rut pretty good now. Will not see the hard rutting big boys for a few weeks in my area from what I have seen in years past. Will you be in the southern part of the state???
