Re: Ney Play Toy (bigfishingstud)
What range and I would guess mule deer. I've been shooting them shortly after they came out. I've got just about every cal. they came out with and a few wild cats. 7x 30 Waters or the 30-30 works great in the T/C. I've used the JDJ 6.5 #2 ( based on a 307 case) wild cat round to take mule deer and white tail.45-70 would work for elk, I would go to the 16.25 barrel with a brake, it's not that bad to handle. If you want to go bigger or should say higher pressure you'll need to go to the Encore 308 Win or 260 Rem..

.35 Remington is tough to beat... or the old stand-by .44 mag http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

I am a big fan of T/C single-shots... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Can't wait to try out my new .44 Mag barrel on a whitetail this fall.

7x30 is a great round. My brother has one and it shoots factory ammo fantastic.

Friend of mine in Indiana shoots the .35 Rem in a handgun similar to the one pictured. Very comfortable to shoot and I've watched him drop some deer where they stood. He and I would shoot golf balls out to 75 yds with it http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif , with a good rest of course. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
