How's your groups (archery)?
Finally got back into routine shooting today. I ended with a 3" group at 30 yards. Still trying to get consistent with this new bow of mine AND making sure my sights are in the zone. I want to be able to shoot 3" groups at 40 yds and 4" at 50yds. I think this would get me where I need to be for deer season and my elk hunt in September.

ive been shooting since i was very young, my best groups came when i was shooting indoor 3d tournamens. i use to be able to keep most of the touching up to 30 yards. these days where i don't shoot as much im around 4 inches or so at 30 yards, which im very comfortable taking into the woods http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

3 yrs ago I was shooting alot and basically all arrows would be touching at 30 yds, I've shot my bow 2 times this year and I was struggling to get a 5" group at 30 yds.

here is a fun drill to tighten your groups up, when my buddies and I shot 3D tournaments in TN and KY. Get a small group of your friends and pool some money, until you get an number like $10, $20 and so on, take the bill fold it as small as you can and place it on a target, shoot at it from 40, 50 or 60 and the first one that hits it, gets it! it is a blast and your groups will be smokin before you know http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

when i shot alot (many many moons ago), use to manage 3 shot rounds touching out to 40, now adays not so much. got way to caught up into the whole group thing and developed some bad habits. 2 things that used to help me alot to get out of the funk was when we were shooting certs/lifesavers for $5 a hit. also we shoot 1 shaft instead of groups. after all, it's your first and only shot that counts anyway in the woods. may not be on the tx level anymore, but when/if i opt to let one fly at a critter i have no doubt of hitting home
Re: How's your groups (moto)
Yea, the single arrow at seperate targets is a lot cheaper on arrow, fletch and nocks. Keep your target dots down to the size you want your groups and you will meet you goal.
