New Owner of a 1995 Skeeter SS 90. First boat!
Today I took delivery of my 1995 Skeeter SS 90 with 90 hp Force motor. It is my first bass boat, and I am pretty excited to get out on the water.
I am not to hot on the outboard, but I got the boat for a great price.
It has new carpet and batteries and older electronics and trolling motor. The trailer has light rust, but is in good shape.
There is about a 6" repair spot on the port side midway down that needs some attention. It looks solid, but was finished poorly.
What are some things I need to look out for? Any advice for a new owner? I love working on and restoring cars, and I am excited to do a little work on her this winter. It seems like a good rig, but with some time and some elbow grease I think it can be great!

That thing sure looks a whole lot better than my 94 ss90. I will say this though, it may be a "small" boat but I have really enjoyed mine. I can get into some really shallow water with mine
Nice boat

Good lookin boat! And as for the motor, I had a 40 horse Force and not one bit of problems for 5 yrs. Easiest starting engine Ive owned. Just keep it serviced itll be fine.

Congratulations. Nice looking rig.
Suggestion: This winter disconnect every electrical connections you can find and clean the contact areas and apply dialectic grease before reconnecting. Not hard to do, just time consuming. It might save you from having electrical problems on the water next spring.

Nice rig! If the fuel lines are older (pre-ethanol) lines....replace them! From Tank to motor! Put in a new set of plugs and enjoy! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

I had a 1996 Skeeter SS90 with a 90 Mariner that had a little help ( ok alot of help ) from G-force engineering out of Wisconsin - that boat would tun a 24pitch Mazco HP4 @ 5800rmp - 63mph - I loved that boat it was by far one of my favorite in a long line of boats I have ownd - wish I would of kept it - the boat sits extremly good ( flat ) on the water and with a 24vot trolling motor can get to places a 20ft could only dream of. hope you have as much fun as I had with mine !
