Re: trim adjustment (Nitro 750)
The motor will only trim so far and then stop. Once it reaches full trim then it would go into tilt and the center ram would push that up. I am not sure what controls that but the only way to get the motor to use tilt is either when it is off or if you are at a slow idle it will allow you to tilt it out of the water.
You really don't want it to tilt any and full trim should be enough. What you could do is raise the motor up on the transom to the next hole and see if that allows you to trim it till you blowout. Before doing any of this though you need to get a water pressure gauge. As you trim up if you bring the lower unit to far out of the water you will lose water pressure which is cooling for the motor. You do that and run the motor long enough you will burn up the motor.
Re: trim adjustment (MNJAVELIN)
Awesome feedback and matches exactly what the trim/tilt does.. I will mark this concern off my list..

Re: trim adjustment (Nitro 750)
hey Nitro 750 i own a 2007 750 single console with a 90 merc, i was wondering if yours rolls to the right when it planes out with the motor trimmed all the way down? mine does this and i cant figure out why.
Re: trim adjustment (zoomtx)
your weight is making it lean to the right
Re: trim adjustment (zoomtx)
When I first bought mine the boat had a nasty turn to the right during differant stages. Most noticeable when I would start back down from a full trim.. In the end I had to adjust my trim tab on the back of the motor.. After this the boat has been much easier to control and ride. However, it does have a little roll to the right on take off but is easily controlled by keeping a little pressure on the steering wheel. I believe most boats have a slight turn built in...
Hope this helps.

Re: trim adjustment (TRCM)
are you saying that im too fat??? lmao! j/k! it does it even when my buddy goes with me and he weighs like 70 lbs more than me, im starting to think its a design flaw , im going to look into the tab that nitro 750 talked about, thanks to all! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Re: trim adjustment (zoomtx)
could be several things, but most boats will sit level until the driver gets in, then the right side sits low.
Re: trim adjustment (Nitro 750)
its a trim limit switch that will not allow the motor to go into full trim while the throttle is down. its normal and a safety thing. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Re: trim adjustment (calfish1)
As far as the boat leaning to the right, that is due to a couple of different factors. The prop creates torque when you are getting out of the hole. Weight could also be a factor, and then the trim tab adjustment. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
