SPACERS??? And do I need these??
Ok, I have a '98 Nitro 884 Savage, These were on the boat when I bought it. It had no motor when I purchased the boat... I think they are spacers but not sure why they taper, they were mounted with the thicker side up.
The motor I purchaed came with a jackplate the I have used, and removed these. My question is, What are they??? And do I need them with a jackplate??
I have read on here that nitro's didn't need jackplates but I had emailed Todd in the set-up forum and he said to use it.
Any input would help..... If I don't need them what are the y worth??
Thanks,

Those are wedges, they give you more negative angle with the motor when trimming in to help with holeshot. Don't know if you would need them or not, I think some of the big boys use them on there boat that have real big pitch props. I thought that I may have read that Largemouthlou has a set on his Stroker. You might ask this in the Bullet or Stroker forum, someone may have a need for them.
