Cajun Bass Boat Questions

First of all I would like to thank the people who put this site up. I have a 1979 14ft. cajun bass boat. I cannot find the tag on it that tells me what size motor the boat is rated for. I have searched all over the boat with no luck. I obviously do not know much about boats however, I am learning. I would like to know if anyone can tell me what size motor my boat is rated for or any other information that could help me out on this. I had a guy suggest I put a 90HP on it. But I don't really know. Please help.

90hp seems a little high for a 14'er. Hopefully someone will come along shortly with a definate answer. I would think something in the 50-60hp range, but...who knows??

I had one called a Demon II and it was rated for a 75. Mine was a '78 or '79.

we just got an old 14ft-er that's rated for 35-85HP

I had a 15 1/2 Cajun bass boat around that same vintage year. It was rated for 90hp. I think if you go on boattrader.com and search, you may come up with one like yours for sale. You could then contact the owner and see what his rating plate shows. You could also do a search on that same site for your model number and it will list the HP rating. I know you won't be able to put a 90 on it. I found this.
