Can IRun motor with injector removed

I need to move my boat about 2miles up river and have removed an injector for repair would it harm my motor if I ran it with injector removed and obviously unpluged from loom would keep sparkplug connected and insitu would only be running at tickover speeds max 1000rpm .personally i dont think would be any worse than when injector failed and came back to mooring perhaps could spray some lube in cylinder to stop it it running dry.

If you remove the injector, how are you gonna stop the 30 psi. fuel from pouring out under the motor cover? You'd be way better off trailering it where you need it.

Good point was going to plug it .reason not trailer ing it is because I need to get it to the slip first which is about 2 miles and at sea have much more controlwith main motor rather than auxiliary motor .
