Well I bit the bullet and sent my 93 Rude 175 off for a complete rebuild... Was going to sell it and put another motor on but couldn't pass up the deal I got with OneOutboard... Should have it back in a week or so - luckily they have an installation dealer in Stockbridge GA so with me only being about 1 hr and 45 mins away I struck out...
I'll keep everyone posted on the outcome!!!

haha!! I knew I'd get some flack... :)
Well see I've never taken a powerhead off before and was second guessing my ability so I opted to have them do it... now that I've seen it done I could have a saved that couple extra hundred and done it myself - whats the old saying - hind sight is 20/20... But the damage is done now but I'll know in the future...
I wonder how this deal went with Oneoutboard.com. From some of the horror stories I've read about on BBC any dealings with this company wont be good. Some of the pictures I've seen on the Mercury board look like this company is buying sunk salvage outboards and selling them for rebuilt power heads.

I haven't seen any horror stories but I got mine back and its running good. Hopefully I wont have any problems. I got the 1 year warranty with it and he gave me an additional 3 years with me covering shipping and parts. Hopefully all will go well!
