Trying to find where the diagnostic port for my 05 200 DI HO(non ETEC). Any help will be appreciated.
On the starbord side of the engine, at the top I believe it is attached to the flywheel cover. It is plugged into a dummy connector unless you have it networked to your gages or lorance system.
Now I know that the ETECs have it there but I have not connector with a dummy connected into it. I don't have a ETEC, I am assuming that that makes a difference.
My mistake on the DI motors it is on the starbord side just above and to the left of the PDP (Power Distribution Panel) You will see one black wire coming out of the female end of the connector. it is of course triangle shaped.

Ya mean triangle shaped....?
Thanks thats what I had thought, so I guess my cable is wrong that I made. I will work on it. Thanks again.
That connector is called a Deutsch connector.
Yeah I got everything good. I think maybe its because I am using XP that I can't connect. Any tips would be good.
Key has to be in the run position. XP has no issues what level diags do you have? There is a good description how to run 1.42b on XP in the one stop shopping link at the top of this forum.
