Got my 798 installed and tried it out today for the first time. I'm impressed with the technology but feel like I need to fine tune the settings a little bit to get the most out of it. Most of my settings were on the default or auto settings. I played around a little with the sensitivity, screen speed, contrast, etc but didn't get too deep into the settings. Just wondering how others have theirs set.

Congratulations on setting up and installing your 798SI. I have had one for about three months and love it. I learn more each day I use it. I have sit in my boat for hours using the demo mode and played with the adjustments until I feel comfortable. NBkirsch is right, there are many threads on this forum that will help you with your settings. One of the biggest mistakes I was making was not slowing the graph speed down. Since I now normally run it around 2 to 3 I have noticed much better presentations. Do as NBKirsch recomends and your will find some wonderful recomendations. Welcome to the experience of SI.
