5500-6000 recommended WOT range for performance.
5000-6000 is what it should be running WOT.

These motors are beast... prop it to turn 6g and let her eat.. if you still on the oiler and gonna turn it hard, add a little extra oil to the gas as well.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
