Johnson 200hp trim and tilt leak

serial number, G04871228, model J200PLSS, I have a 2000 OMC service manual and there is no info on trim and tilt units. My 2000 Johnson 200 HP is leaking trim fluid from one of the seals on one of the the smaller pistons. I've got the reseal kit but can't get the spanner nut to loosen, does it loosen normally to the left (counterclockwise) or is it clockwise to the right, any tips or help greatly appreciated, thanks
