Re: Drop-Shot Tip (SoonerFan)
I bought a few hundred pre tied rigs with Gammy hooks years ago on close-out. LOL I think I might finally run out of them this year. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif

If you guys didn't know already, there is a way to get it facing up everytime without a swivel. You can just tie your hook on and thread your tag end back DOWN through the eye of the hook with it facing up. Most people use this trick and it works everytime.

Well of course everybody knows this...problem is sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it makes the hook hang sideways. It also puts another kink in an already thin fluorocarbon line creating another weak spot. With the method I described, it's one knot on the hook and one on the swivel and the swivel keeps the line from twisting which is always a problem on drop-shot rigs.

Not trying to knock your idea, just throwing it out there for the few that may not know.

just use the drop shot hook that does it for you. eye is not on the end, closer to the middle.
