Engine is a 2000 Johnson J150PLSSC, good compression on all cylinders. It is currently at a local shop for repairs due to idle, stalling, and tough starting problems. I just want some ideas on how much this engine is really worth and if I should start thinking about a DFI repower. If I had to part out this engine or sell as it what would it be worth or parts? Thanks
Compression good, find a better shop. Nothing wrong with those motors. Need to find an OIS cert tech. Somebody missing something. But if you want to get rid of it,,,,
Actually compression is 100 on lower cylinders, 105 on middle cylinders, and 110 on upper cylinders http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif . The shop has had it for several days and has not gotten a chance to look at it yet but I thought I would just ask. Thanks
