Homemade dummy plate

Needed a cover plate since I've upgraded electronics and thought I'd get creative. Think it turned out pretty good. Dont know that its any cheaper to use the diamond plate option over the plastic plate but its looks a little more fancy! made one for the 28c I took out of the console but the picture wasnt as good. Never had to drill one hole in any of the plastic housing either just ran my bolts through a piece of flat bar on the back to keep it snug.

appreciate it guys..nothing special,just trying to maybe give someone an idea if they dont wanna buy a $40 piece of plastic from the manufacturer.

Any chance you could mount a Ram mount to it ?

I think with a couple of modifications to add extra stability you could definitely mount a ram mount to it..that actually crossed my mind as I was doing it

I have been thinking of doing the same thing just not got around to it .
