okay so i was thinking about taking the motor to the shop but figured i would ask for some input before doing so. I have a 89' johnson "tracker series" 40hp. It fires up great and ideals great. I give it some gas and it runs great. After making a few runs the motor fires great, idles great, and when i give it gas it is like it is loading up or something. can't seem to get more than 3600rpm out of it. it just runs then acts like it is full of fuel and cant digest it all. I have changed spark plugs, fuel line/filters, cleaned the carb up, and always run stabil ethanol treatment( no good gas here).
