hey guys, i have aboat that is only a couple of months old. it has a 175 johnson on it. whenever i go nightfihing, it will go dead after only about 3 to 4 hours of fishing. i have frinds that could fish all night long without their battery going dead. is the problem my alternator or is it a bad battery? someone please help. this is getting annoying
Bring the battery to us and we will check it for free, or just bring the whole boat.
thanks john will do. i dont know what the problem is, it is like the battery isnt taking a charge. i even run the motor quite a bit before i stop to fish, just to ensure that the motor is charged. but regardless of how much i run it, if i stay at one spot fishing for more than an hour or two, it goes dead. i even double checked it this time, because i thought that maybe i was the problem by leaving something on, but everything ws turned off. thanks i will bring it by this week.
