Dash for 99 Stratos 283 Vindicator
I have 99 Stratos 283 Vindacator with a 175 Johnson Fast strike.Igintion caught on fire fir e after bringing it home after a trip on the Suwannee River.Had some troubble on the water with one of the Batteries I had to crank a little more than often that day I noticed the ignition was getting a little hot . I just thought it was hot from that so payed it no mind)well big mistake ! took it home dit not disconect the batteries and later the lgintion switch caught on fire and burned 25% of the front of the dash board where the gauges are, winshield Gps.melted front seat damage and a lil carpet damage.No gelcoat damage at all I geuss the composite hull had somthing toi do with that .I had no insurance.So I called the dealer which is the only place I could thing of after 3 days online looking.cannot find anything dealer dosnt make the parts anymore so i would like to know if there is anywhere to get stuff like that or if anyone happens too just maybe have any of things just lying around.(yeah right)desperatley need help I love my bass fishing and this boat was prestine except for a few minor scratches.I feel lilke I lost my best friend lol

Already tried those guys too.They were very helpful but said they didnt the console I needed,Thats going to be the hard part to find.They said somthing about having a falling out with the guy who had that perticulaer mold and he got pissed and threw it in the lake.What a guy!! thx for the info anyway, Ralph http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif

Ralph, just for verification, it was not us he was ticked at. It was whoever owned Stratos at that time because they chose someone else to make shrouds for them. I wish I had a couple of hundred of those shrouds. There have been a lot of people looking for them over the years that I have been here. I absolutely hate telling anyone that I can't help them with a part they need!

Ralph, I remember a post with a reference for a guy that has a salvage yard. Give him a try.

Ralph-
Might search google for "stratos 283 salvage". I know with the hurricants and the floods and tornaodas there are some cheap boats out there. In fact a 2000 stratos just sold for 1800.00 in missouri. Boat was a mess but the entire electonics were good.
