wet sanding vs. Meguiar's #49 Oxidation Remover
I've got some oxidation on my boat that I'm preparing to fix. I'm trying to read as much info on here as I can and gather the proper tools to do it the right way.
I'm not sure, though, whether I need to do some wet sanding or whether I can just use some Meguiar's #49 Oxidation Remover / Heavy Duty cleaner. Is there a general rule of thumb as to which to go with? I assume the wet sanding is for the most severe repairs, and the Meguiar's for lesser severe oxidation. How do I know which I technique need to use?

Adam,
You first need to asses the degree of oxidation, which it sounds like you have. If you have heavy oxidation we offer Supreme 4, Restore & Revive. This product is designed to remove heavy oxidation and surface imperfections. You will need to follow up with Polish and a Sealant or Wax. Please feel free to give me a call with any questions you may have. I am sure you will be happy with the results.
