HOLY CRAP! You've got your work cut out for you, but I look forward to seeing the final project. I would love to try a restore project, but I don't have the room or the tools to tackle such a huge project. Best of luck! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Re: The start of my Skeeter 175 Starfire restore (omcforever)
did the boat come with the beer cans or did you add them while taking it apart?
beer works great for the demo and sanding days, not so good when glassing or cutting out new wood peices http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif Looks like your on your way to a cool renewed boat http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif

Re: The start of my Skeeter 175 Starfire restore (JeffA)
are you incapsulating the stringer with glass or did you just tab it in?

<table width="90%" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 align=center><tr><td>Quote, originally posted by Jwengerd »</td></tr><tr><td class="quote">are you incapsulating the stringer with glass or did you just tab it in? </td></tr></table> Rotten stringers where cut out and re-glassed in and totally encapsulated in foam boxes sealed with resin and 1708 biaxial. Original where just spot tabbed in and left many places for water migration. Then the whole area was painted with black jel coat after sealed with resin....
