It's all I run in my 03 DI, and a surprising # of members here run it in their carb engines. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
I thought that the price went up. I think I remember it being in the mid 20's. I thought you could get 4 gallons for $100. I could be wrong. Thanks guys!
I purchased 6 gal. of xd-100, from demo-online, last Feb. $210.00 shipped to my house in Maine.
I did a lot of research before buying and this was the best price on the internet.
Shipment was made in 5 days.Just looked @ their ad on line --no price change since Feb.
Thanks!
My mechanic recommends Amsoil HP synthetic for my E-tech. He says the xd-100 is way overpriced which it is, and that is has a lot more carbon build up than the Amsoil

If you have the oil set on the TC-W3 setting you may be OK but be aware that the Amzoil is not TC-W3 certified as required in your owners manual.
Do not use the Amzoil with the XD-100 oil setting at any time !!!!!!!
When XD 100 hit the market 4-5 years ago I could not find on the label where it was TCW3 certified. I also have not looked at a label since then. Is the certification for XD 100 on the label now?
Certified or not XD 100 is a good oil...so is Amsoil
XD-100 was made specifically by Evinrude for Evinrude - it is not marketed, advertised, or suggested for any other make of motor, thus TC-W3 certification is not necessary, just like with Merc's Optimax oil.
Amzoil makes good products, no doubt, but if there were ever a lube problem in a warrantied Evinrude, it could be said that the operator was not using a product that was required in the owners manual. The manual states the if Evinrude oils were not used, then a TC-W3 certified oil could be substituted.
