Re: Redoing my trialer (slsmith93)
Used Rustoleum satin black on mine - careful masking, 3in roller / brush. Worked just fine and easy to touch up... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

Just scroll down the resto page here to "Ranger write-off: Sport R72 rebuild" - there's a couple of pics on page 1 and page 4 + 5.
Re: Redoing my trialer (bassdad)
bassdad,
Did you sand the trailer before painting? I have thought about painting my trailer where there are numerous chips, but didn't know if I should sand it.
By the way, just saw the thread of your restoration and well:

Re: Redoing my trialer (axis)
Yes......used 220 grit and some fairing for a couple of dings....the fenders needed the most work!
Re: Redoing my trialer (slsmith93)
I just reciently re-did my trailer..I took BassDad's advice actually. I wire wheeled mine for awhile and got all the rust and rough spots out. Then painted with rustoleum hammer paint. (helps hide imperfections and seal the rust) then i bought a can of the spray bedliner and sprayed the bunk board brackets and cross bracing to keep the chipping down on the paint. I think total i spent about 25 bucks paint and wire brush.

Nice job. I will check into that. Can't beat the price.
